As a member at A Space Gallery your support provides you with several opportunities to become involved with one of the first artist-run centers in Canada. Members receive:
- Regular updates, exhibition & special project invitations and newsletters
- Participation in members’ talks and both juried and non-juried exhibitions including the A Space WINDOWS and fundraising shows
- The opportunity to play an important role in the operation of A Space through committee involvement and the selection process
- A vote at the Annual General Meeting and eligibility to run for a position on the Board of Directors
- Discounts on admission to A Space sponsored events and on gallery Publications

At the Gallery
The A Space WINDOWS are designated as a juried exhibition space to be shared by Members and Gallery Artists. Fees will be paid for selected member proposals.See calls for submissions for further information and exhibitions opportunities.
A Space Artist Talks – A Space Members may present their work (slides, video, spoken work, curatorial work, work in progress, etc.) in a supportive and informal setting. This is a good opportunity to receive constructive feedback from your peers and hone your presentation skills. And it’s a great way to get to know other members.
The Membership Committee develops programs and events designed to encourage member participation in the life of the gallery. At present the committee coordinates the members’ fundraising show and sale, member artist talks, the A Space WINDOWS member exhibitions, and various other events. The committee is looking for volunteers to help us stage events, so if you are interested in getting involved, please contact the gallery.
